Sea Hunt Boat Company began in 1995 when a father - son team started building center console fishing boats in a small plant outside of Columbia, South Carolina. Demand for the elite product caused expansion of the facilities and product line at a comfortable pace to insure that the original attention to details and high quality was never lost. By 2004 the little boat company that started in a one room shop expanded to a compact boat building plant that was bursting at the seams. Sea Hunt’s commitment to customer service and dealer support propelled the company to a defining point…Relocation and Expansion! In March 2006, Sea Hunt started operations in a state of the art 170,000 square foot facility, with the same values that were responsible for our growth. |

At Carolina Skiff, building one of the best quality boats for a great price has always been our goal. We manufacture a total of 48 different skiff and center console models ranging from 12 to 27 feet under the Carolina Skiff brand.
The patented box-beam construction process allows for a solid rigged boat hull.
The foam flotation exceeds Coast Guard requirements for positi8ve flotation. The level of buoyancy in our hulls allows for a very shallow draft, quicker planing performance and carrying heavy payloads.
With the proper weight balance, Carolina Skiff boat hulls may self-bail, but we cannot guarantee each boat will self-bail under all conditions. |

In the middle of the 60's Harley Gheen, at the time a senior designer at the Cape Canaveral Space Center, came across some drawings of a boat he had sketched up when he worked as a draftsman at Dempster Brothers in Knoxville, Tennessee. Putting his skills to work, he came up with a design that would be not only extremely stable, but that would allow the option of putting an outboard motor on the stern thus saving his paddling arm for more fishing. This design also let Harley get into really shallow water, which works out great when fishing the flats and marshes. So around 1968, the Gheenoe (part Gheen - part canoe) was born.
